Well I often wonder as a parent...when you say that the child is in fact doing the task?? Well as of yesterday I am calling it officially official that Evan is walking!! He is now walking more then crawling in fact I do not think he crawled at all yesterday...he would just stand up and walked instead! I can tell ya he is pretty proud of his accomplishment. Well someday I will find and update the baby books on this stuff but for now it all has a home on the blog. Yeah blog!!
Well Happy humpday all! We do not really have anything exciting going on today...maybe I will take the boys to storytime.
Thanks for stopping...

Nancy's shower pics
BIRD UPDATE!
Well it seems the little guy recovered fine. It was too bizarre Tim carried him around for an hour. Then he set him on the picnic table while he grilled chili's. Tim kept checking on him. He said he thought he had Narcolarpsy because he kept falling asleep. Then a couple hours later Tim checked on him and he said the bird looked at him as if to say.."Wait you are a human!" and flew away. My hubby the "wildlife biologist" I guess that bachelor's is coming in handy my love!
Back to the chili's...that is green chile peppers. Tim bought a HUGE box ( bushel I believe) and he was out there grilling them until late a night. I do not know what we will do with a freezer full of these peppers...but we have them just in case.
Well today was a pretty non-eventful day. I did recieve some pics from my neice's shower that I will put on here tomorrow.
I am sorry there are no pics on this post...I know how it upsets my loyal followers...

look who knocked on our door....
Well here I am surfing the internet ( darn that myspace). Tim is painting the dining room and the boys are napping...it is so quiet in here... :) Amazing! Anyway then all of the sudden THUD! This little guy flies into our screen door trying to catch a bumblebee for snack. Here is a pic of Tim trying to nurse him back to health.
Had to share this tale on the blog of course...
Where did my weekend go???
Let's see...it is FREEZING here!!! I spent a good portion of my weekend wrapped up in an AWESOME book. Thank you to Lindsey and Beth to reccomending " My Sister's Keeper". It was such a great read. I picked it up from Beth on Friday and was finished by Saturday night. We also managed to squeeze in some time at Frontiercade ( a big festival thing held on base) but that was Friday and really cold and rainy! Saturday Tim and I had a church group meeting most of the day then we drove around Elk country scouting for hunting season. We then went to have a yummy dinner with Billie and the kids. Today was our church picnic including "mass in the grass". It was fun time with yummy food and lots of games but again...too cold to be out to long. We will be having a big sunday dinner and spending time with Uncle Matt....seems more like fall then summer that is for sure.
I will download a few pictures and update again soon....
Oh and in other good news... I did get your message Kim...that COLDSTOME CREAMERY is open!! Now if it would just warm upa bit I can get excited for some ice cream!!!!! :)
Thanks for checking in on us...

TEETH????
Okay Evan has been a bear for the past 2 days. His other eye tooth finally popped through so I do not know if that is the issue or what??? All I know is that he pretty much screamed at me all day yesterday....so I decided to try to snap some pictures since he is such a ham he can't resist smiling for the camera. Here is what I came up with...still grumpy but better. I love how in our shot together you can still see a tear but gotta ham it up for the camera. I tell ya!!
Okay well that is what I got for today.. hoping to have a bit of fun tomorrow to post!!
:)
***Reminder to family and friends it is easy to comment now... so feel free!
Have a great day everyone!

Sunday finally!!!!
Well Sunday we went to the
New West festival in Fort Collins with Joel and Kelly. Joel and Tanner became fast buds as you see the shot of Tanner on Joel's shoulders. It was a fun time... we saw Nickle Creek perform and the kids enjoyed the petting zoo among other things. Here are some shots of the fun!
P.S. Does anyone else think that it is odd that the petting zoo had a turtle???

Tops in blue
Well last night I took Tanner to see Tops in Blue. We got there right before it started and I was afraid that we would not get a seat but we did fine. We sat in the balcony but had front row...so it was all good. I don't know if Tanner was too far away from the action or if it was because it was all love songs but he grew bored. When I have taken him in the past he has loved it; he is my musical child. It was also past his bedtime and he was tired and he told me that....and he feel asleep on the way home. So, overall a fun time. We left a bit early but that was okay cause we beat the crowd that way too... :)
I always reccomend seeing them if they are at your base. :) For those of you that have no air force a ffiliation and do not know they are a dancing, singing, playing military organization that travels all over the world putting on shows.
Thanks for stopping by...
I know I keep saying Sunday pictures are coming...and they are...maybe today! :)

why do I bother????
Why do I even have baby gates. My kids have always seen them as a challenge rather then a barrier. And here is Evan.... he already broke through the gate and escaped. I tell ya. I have pictured the scene of the crime and the escapee...he is giving me some alibi about it being someone elses fault. I have already interogated big brother and find him to be innocent of all crimes ( an usual thing that is for sure). Hum...well he did the crime..now what should the time be???
Gotta run...the criminals are hungry...
Thanks for stopping.. I have a lot going on today and tonight but I hope to post Sunday's activities at some point.
Take care

playground....
Grumpy Evan on the swing
Evan by the slide.. a little happier
Tanner "Look Mom I am BIG high!"
Tanner on the bouncer.
So I took the boys to the playground on base. They had fun. There were 2 little kids there playing (a girl 4 1/2 and a boy 3) and Tanner really wanted to go on the see saw. So he went up to the little girl and said "Hi my name is Tanner will you go on the see saw with me?" She said "see saw? what is that?" So Tanner said.."Look where my finger is pointing.." The little girl said..." That is not a see saw that is a teeter totter!" Tanner look at me..."Mom she said it is not a see saw it is a teeter-totter" Then he turned back to the girl..." well, will ya go on it?" And she did. And then in the car on the way to bring Tim lunch we had this conversation.... "Mom the girl at the playground was cute.." " Really Mom she was pretty did ya think?" I replied..."sure she was very cute hunny" And then Tanner said "Cause Mom I really do need a girlfriend!" I couldn't help but laugh... here I thought I had a few years before talks of this began. OH NO! My baby is growing up too fast already!!
Thanks for stopping. By the way.. I have opened my blog up so that anyone can comment. So, if you had wanted to comment but thought you had to start a blog that is no longer the case. I just ask that you identify yourself if you can.
Thanks for stopping have a great night.
I will post Sunday's festivities tomorrow. ( give ya something to look forward to)

the old switcheroo...
Well I took the boys to the playground on base ( funny playground story later) and when we got back...these were the dogs hanging out on my deck.
NOT my dogs... where were my dogs??? Gone!! Our neighbor dogs dig a hole...come and play with our dogs and our dogs take off through the same hole. Not the best hosts at all...oh your here...good C'ya! I did have another theory that Parker and Brapp asked these two dogs to fill in for them thinking that we would not notice they were gone ( going with the all dogs look alike idea). Either way the dogs got picked up and we had to go get them from a local vet in town. fun fun fun!!
More later! Now I have a lot to blog but blogger is not cooperating... I still can only get one picture to upload from this morning???
saturday
Well Saturday morning we got up bright and early and after a big breakfast there was quite a chill in the air. We were planning on organizing our outside shed...BUT since it was only 55 degrees it really had Tim anxious for hunting season....sooooo.
We hopped in the car and took a trip up to Guernsey Wyoming. Not so amazing of a town. The population is about 1000 and there is an Air Guard base there. Tim said...see hunny it could be worse we could be stationed here. Not very funny at all. Anyway, there is a gorgeous lake there and we did find some great camping spots for next year and Tim of course drove for hours exploring the hunting areas that he has choices of.
It was a fun trip. We stopped several times and talked to the cows to see where thier water supply was... no answers but Tanner thought it was the best thing ever talking to the cows...
So, here are some pics of the lake and of course one of our cow friends.
We can home and were VERY productive cleaning out our garage...it looks amazing!! So we really got a lot done on Saturday.
Pictures will not upload today...check back later for pictures... ARRRR!
I owe ya one....or two
Hello all! Well we did have a fun weekend. Still getting alot done around the house but making some time for some fun too. I even took some pictures to share..BUT I am not prepared to download and do them all now. So... you will have to stop back and check in on us tomorrow.

those crazy boys
Here is a video of what the boys are usually doing at any given moment....running around the house in this very fashion.
Welcome to a day in the life of us...
:)
Nightmare! Can you help??
I had a bad dream and I woke up in the night and wrote it down so that I could try to analyze it this morning. Of course I do not really know how to do that. What I can tell you is that all night I dreamt of dolphins and in the end of the dream Tim and I were standing by this pool of disgusting dirty water and we were talking to a dolphin who was on the edge of the pool ( not in the water). Tanner was with us and all of a sudden the dolphin says," Where is the baby?" I look in the middle of the dirty water and see a stuffed animal that Tanner has ( a green bear) floating in the middle. Tim jumps in and grabs the bear. I laugh and say to the dolphin hee hee he saved a stuffed animal! Then it occurs to me...where is Tanner?? So I yell to Tim that Tanner has been under the water too long. Tim comes up moments later with Tanner wrapped in one of his baby blankets and puts him on the ground and is panicking...and I am so upset and screaming...and I wake up. I never knew the outcome... and I was so disturbed by the dream. So I wrote it down last night and decided to analyze it this morning. Here is what I found on the definition of some of the components on the internet.
Dolphins
Dolphins are highly intelligent mammals, and as such represents the mental attributes and accomplishments involved in the dream itself. It also denotes that the dreamer has made some giant strides upward through the use of his mental faculties, and, if the rest of the dream bears it out, a dolphin is like a pat on the dreamers back with a well done thrown in for good measure.
Water
Dreaming of clear water is a sign of great good luck and prosperity, a dream of muddy water foretells sadness or sorry for the dreamer through hearing of an illness or death of someone he/she knows well. Dirty water warns of unscrupulous people who would bring you to ruin. All water dreams, other then clear, has a bad omen connected to it and should be studied carefully and taken as a true waning.
Animals
Animals most often represent that aspect of ourselves, or parts of our personality, that are present in our ordinary life. It is generally given that the more primitive the animal then the more primitive or deeper the layer of consciousness that represents. To dream of being bitten by an animal may be a manifestation of a fear of animals. What the animal is doing in the dream is also very important, if say, a pig is dancing, then maybe that means that the side of you that likes to over indulge is very happy with that. But if the pig were crying then that might indicate an inner urge to curb and over indulge in habit.
Drowning
To dream that you drown or in the midst of drowning is a bad omen as it pertains to the health of your business and partnership activities. If you die, your business will fail and a great loss will occur for you but if you are rescued and revived, then you will have a good friend step in and save your business. Other aspects of this dream deals with your relationships and can be interpreted as with a business.
drowning - Losing ones emotional control. Situation is out of control. Inability to handle a circumstance or social situation.
Any one have any ideas on how to help me analyze my dream????
Thanks for any help anyone might have.. :)

ICK!!!!!
Eyes on the prize..
Well I am back to doing the sticker/positiv enforcement with Tanner. This is what is on the table. A kid's weed whacker. This way when Daddy cuts the lawn he can not only help mowing he can also help weed whacking. Well I have made a new chart to earn stickers and I have even added things like making his bed, helping with his laundry and helping mom and Dad with Evan. He needs to earn 20 stickers he really could do it quickly but we will see. The regular schedule is one for taking a nap without fussing, eating dinner, going to bed with no fuss.... and then he can earn the extras for other good behavior.
Boy I tell ya things have been pretty boring round here...nothing exciting going on. I do have some possible jobs on the horizon but I do not want to jinx myself.... so that is all that I will say for now. Off to feed little bit his breakfast. Sorry my posts have been so limited and uneventful these days...
Have a great day

making my ancestors proud....
Well this is what I wanted to put on the blog today. Tim is making wine...merlot is his first go round. It has been 7 days of sitting in our basement (laundry room) and now he is draining it into a new jug. I am told it will be a 28 day total process on this wine before we are enjoying some Merlot. I will let everyone know how it turns out. Beginning of Septemeber it should be done.
TIRED!!! We have worked so hard today on the house...ug! We are just fixing up and cleaning up , painting and all little projects that need to be done.. what a lot of work. It has been a VERY productive weekend though.
My mom the unicorn
Okay so I have convinced Tanner that I am turning into a unicorn. I have this big ole zit in the middle of my forehead and I told Tanner that I am growing a horn. Uncle Matt bought him a movie a few weeks ago called "The last unicorn". He watches it constantly...just loves it. So, now I told him that I am turning into a unicorn. It is funny watching the little wheels turn in his head.
:) Course I told him today that I am just kidding...but he sees the zit/bump and is not sure what to believe. Okay well what I really wanted to blog I couldn't because of some home improvements...so hopefully later today.
Happy Sunday! It is actually cold here today...weird eh? Well it is fine with us because we are working on lots of home improvements round here and it is easier when it is cool.
more later...or tomorrow...

LOOK!!!!
Can you believe Evan has chosen today as his "first step day!" I am so bummed that Grandma and Grandpa missed it but he will be a pro when they visit. I just knew it would be this week cause he had been standing and taking a step or two for a while now. I just took his walker away and said...if you want to walk go ahead! And he did!!! Abbey was hear to help. Tim is "working" so he missed all the fun! Well just had to share with everyone! Of course this is a rocky start but he will get better.... soon enough!
Signed,
A proud mama
Thanks Aunt Donna...
We got a box of gifts the other day... and this was my gift. How cute it turned out ( course they are Evan's hands and feet not my own) . We have also had a ton of fun coloring in the coloring book...Tanner and I. Tanner tried to convince Tim that he has to bring the pictures that I color to work too... I am sure the guys would get a kick out of that.
As far as Evan's gift..so cute, so thoughtful, he LOVES it and SOOOO loud...you just wait until you have kiddos.. :P
Thanks again for thinking of us all and I will get working on White Oleander...

While the cat is away ( that is me)
Yeah me.. the cat! While I was away on Saturday Tim and the boys went to Denver for the day. They had a blast, as they always do. They have to stop at the stores at the VERY bottom of my list like..Bass Pro Shops. They thought it so cool Tanner had to call me from the store to tell me about it. I told Tim to just make his Christmas list. Well Tim said, " I got the boys a tent." I was thinking a little over your bed tent...like we have been looking at. Then Tim said the boys are sleeping in the tent... this ( above ) is what I came home to. A full fledged, real live, you can camp in it, for 2 full grown people, tent! Of course they love it! That is just another reason why the boys think thier Dad is among the coolest, most fun people around. ( I have to agree but don't tell him we wouldn't want him getting a big head).
Anyway, pretty uneventful day today... commissary and such....nothing worth talking about. Of course we had fun anyway!
I will try to be better about posting but...thanks for stopping!
Enjoy your night! ( Tanner will be spending his in the tent...even nap time is in the tent.. a tent makes everything more fun..apparently!)

Road trip!!!
Well Billie and I got up early Saturday morning... ( after Friday night with a bit too mich wine) and hit Starbucks and headed to Omaha! We arrived and got Abbey at about 4:00 local time. We then explored the town. We grabbed dinner. Went shoppping at the mall. Then we hit a local ice cream hot spot for a creamy treat. We were back in the room early eating our ice cream and watching movies. It was a great trip! I could do without visiting the state of Nebraska anytime soon...but we had a good time passing the time anyway. I am so glad Abbey is home and here are a few pics that I made her pose for!
In other News...Grandma and Grandpa decided not to come for a visit right now. They will reschedule later so I will post some pictures when they get here.
As for us...off to the library for storeytime as usual I suppose.

Captain underpants...
Talk about pictures to show his prom date! Not only did he ask me to take this picture he wanted it "on the blog" so here ya go!! I told him I was going to call him Captain Underpants...
What a goofball my son is!
Well tomorrow Grandma arrives to visit. I am taking a road trip to Omaha with a friend and will be back Sunday night. Today I am going to TRY to get my house cleaned and in good order... notice I said TRY! I will do my best! As for now... the boys are getting restless so I gotta run!
So there will be no postings Saturday...hopefully I will catch up sunday night... I know I will be so missed... :)
Happy Friday!!!

Add a letter to the pile....
Well as many of you know I have been looking for work. More specifically a great rewarding job that pays very well. Hee hee...no such luck. I got a denial letter today and the funny thing is I do not even remember applying for the job. I have been getting about 1 a day. I am beginning to feel a bit defeated here. Well, I am sure the right position will come along. Tim and I truly believe that the Lord has a plan.... but c'mon here this is getting hard on my self esteem already!
Anyway, on another note I noticed a bizarre, quirky thing about myself and thought the blog a great place to talk about it. I have noticed that I have this thing where I see cars and look for people that I know... okay alot of people probably do that...BUT I can't seem to update my car radar.... example...everytime I see a green Saturn I look for Brian McMenamy...okay not only has he not driven that car for years he doesn't live in Cheyenne anymore! And another one is a Jeep Liberty...Matt Hlviko...again...hasn't driven that car for a long time. Okay new rule...if you are my friend you are not allowed to get a new car...EVER! I cannot get the car radar to update! Does anyone have a problem similar or am I just a total freak of nature?????????
Okay an all around bizarre post... and no pictures... I wonder how many people actually read the whole thing??????
Tim and I are heading out to a church function for dinner... and Uncle Matt is watching the boys..yippee!!!

Strike a pose!!
Hee hee Tanner the photographer grabbed the camera and took 41 pictures of Evan... no kidding. Here are a few. I think it is too funny. Tim asked if Tanner was saying"work it, own it" to his subject. Well, as you can see today is an uneventful day but thought I would share this funny. So, centering is not his forte....
Thanks for stopping in!
Enjoy your day... and to all back east; stay cool... I won't even tell you how gorgeous and perfect our weather is today( oops did I say that? )
Tammi and the boys!
Stupid blogger!
Well I have been trying to pose pictures to no avail...
I will try again later!
I will try again later!
It is a post I can't do without pictures because Tanner took 41 pictures of Evan yesterday and I was going to put some of the "highlights" on here.
More later....

Spaghetti dinner
Well last night we had penne pasta with sausage, peppers, onion and garlic in a tomato basil sauce ( yum yum if I do say so myself). The best part if how well Evan did...he ate like there was no tomorrow and gotta love that spaghetti face! Just thought I would share. It has officailly cooled down here and we are off to story time this morning.
Thanks for stopping in... enjoy your day!

Horseplay and candyland
Last night we played Candyland ( Tanner won fair in square). Then the boys were wrestling and horsing around like crazy. I snapped a few pics. I had to use my old camera because the new one needs batteries but you get the idea.
It was a fun low key night...just what the Dr ordered!!
Thanks for stopping by!

Tanner close up
Evan being silly with the deflated ball on his head
Tanner doing the same
Last but not least the one responsible for all the horseplay! :) But they are boys and they sure had a blast!
