My new trick...

Can't you see how proud of himself he is....

I went into the playroom and this is Evan's new trick; climbing up on the stool and sitting down. At first I ran in and took him down but then a second later he was right back up on it again with a big grin on his face. He was just so happy with himself...and he just has to keep doing it... do I see a future dare devil????

Easy for you to say...

This is how Tanner and Evan go on our bike rides. Evan is usually a sleep about 15 minutes in. Of course Tanner is like..." let's go further, let's go up that big hill, why are you stopping Daddy?"... Tim and I have to laugh. Must be nice to just sit back, relax and watch the world pass by. :) In all seriousness, I think that this was one of the best things we have purchased for the kids ages. It really allows Tim and I to go on a good bike ride and not worry about Tanner trying to keep up.

So, now that I have officially returned to the land of the living we went on an a great bike ride it was a beautiful night. I am trying to tell my hubby that we need to live somewhere that we can bikeride EVERY day...somewhere it is warm every day... hum...not Cheyenne :).

Videos are working???

Try again! I think that I fixed it!

Camping weekend

Okay we camped and there was huge crowd over the whole weekend. I on the other hand was DYING!!! the nasty stomach bug came back with a vengence so I spent a limited time with everyone. These pics were taken on Saturday evening. We were joined by the Kim, Matt and Avery. I feel bad that I wasn't the best company but I was glad that I got to visit a little.

As you can see Tanner's tummy wasn't bothering him as he ate plenty of marshmallows.

The camping trip was kind of a last hoorah for our friend Timmy P... there were lots of folks that Tim works with...some came for meal and chats, some stayed friday, some stayed Sat all in all I think they all had a blast. Since I was so scarce of course there aren't any pics since that is my job...Tim cooks and I take the pictures... oh well. I do not think the trip will soon be forgotten.

Happy Daddy's Day!

"King Daddy and Tanner releasing Nemo into his new tank

Tanner watching Nemo get acclimated to the larger swimming area

Evan trying to check out a nearly complete tank while Tim adds a few finishing touches

Well we had a nice day! Tim was crowned "king of the castle" so of course I had to get a shot of him wearing his crown. One of my garage sale finds yesterday was this aquarium ( 29 gal) for only $10. So after church we worked on getting it all set up and getting Nemo ( Tanner's goldfish that he recieved for his 2nd birthday) a new home and some new friends. In the last picture you can see Evan trying to check out the tank. I will take some more finished product pictures later. But it really has come together as a nice tank. Hopefully, Nemo will stop trying to make the shrimp a meal...

Well thanks to my wonderful husband for being the best daddy and hubby in the world! He made us a delicious meal and we dined on the deck with Uncle Matt.

Farewell to friends...

Yesterday we went to a get together to say goodbye to Tim and Tara. We will surely miss them! But they will be close so that is good news for sure. This goodbye thing is going a little crazy lately. It is the hardest part.

After the party Tim and I got a sitter and went to the brewfest in town and met up with some of the guys that Tim works with I snapped a picture for fun.

More about Father's day soon!

Jumping the gun?

Okay well I have had some questions... and no Evan is not 1 yet... he still has a few more weeks to go but I wanted to get the pictures out around his birthday as I am pretty crazy like that. You know me...the picture woman!

Anyway today I got up bright and early and the boys and I went garage saling with Ms. Beth. She is looking so darn cute...preggo these days!! Speaking of which I still have not done and "official" Congratulations to Sam and Beth yet. To come... Anyway, we had a nice time and went to Culvers for some lunch. Now the boys are napping..yes both at the same time...how exciting! I need to get my house straightened and get ready for a party we are going to this evening. It is a farewall party to some good friends of ours... lots of goodbyes lately it seems.

I will post some pictures soon... and also Tim and I might make it a bit of a "night" out if we can find a sitter.

Anyway thanks to my loyal readers for checking in on me.

A couple more pictures from the other day...just for fun! :)

Can it be?

Yes it is true... he is turning one!! Where did the year go??? Well we got the pictures today. He did well. I am pleased with them. I can tell ya just little brother getting pictures did not sit well with big brother. Well I did get some wallets so I will be sending them out in the mail too.

You know me... I am here to show off my boys! Sorry the blog is not so exciting! Ut-oh...sounds like nap time might be over as I type this.

Another glamourous day....

NOT!!! Hee hee! Well today we woke up early did some shopping and I have been cooking all day!!!! I am making a meal for a family with a new baby...and a yummy meal for us too.

So, nothing too exciting here...almost 3:00 and I haven't even showered. At Evan's next nap I will do just that.

Here is a pic of Evan playing in the playroom that I snapped. He is such an independant player these days. And Tanner "helping" me make dessert for the family.

Today...

Here are 2 pics from today.. Tanner is squirting his toy that he recieved for the summer reading program while enjoying the pool. Evan and I got in for a quick dip as well. And also one of Evan chowing down on a dinner of watermelon, ravioli, bananas and corn...yum yum. Gotta love that hair! It is his Albert Einstein look. Between the sunscreen and the watermelon it is better then gel.

Well Evan has a few official words, "da da" "mama" "nana" and of course "NO" ( with a head shake) He is getting soooooooo big!

Okay promised Tanner some reading before bed time.... gotta run! Thanks for checking in on us!

Tball game and swimming...

Well Tanner had his first T-ball game of the season. Tim said he needs to call him "coach" hee hee. It really is silly with fun and amazing to me how much we have gotten to know all the little kids in town. Anyway we also did some swimming before and after T-ball. The swimming pictures were VERY blurry. turns out my lense wasn't clean...could it be from Tanner Lee?....nah not that.

Okay well off to story time...more soon!

Camping weekend..kinda

Well we headed up to Curt Gowdy againt this weekend. But we only made it to Saturday night and headed home cause the weather crapped out on us. Here are some shots..

Tara and Tim ( and Hank too) joined us friday night for dinner and chats around the campfire.

Abbey came with us too.. here she is with the boys on the couch.

Abbey holding up a ready for bed Evan.

Evan and Abbey by the cam,pfire.. you can see the view in this shot...we had a great spot!

Abbey with Tanner and Hank in the background.

Well we all fished on Saturday morning for a bit...but Tanner was the only one who caught a single fish he caught 2. It was too funny as he can't sit still and is moving all around and singing and catches fish. The funniest thing is what he said to Tim. "Dad, how many fish did you catch?" Tim just looked at him... and he said "Dad I smell fish for dinner... that is okay Dad I caught 2 you can share my fish" It was pretty funny.

Since we came home a day early we headed to Loveland on Sunday after church and went to lunch and to see ..Cars the movie.. It was cute...

Well that was that...better get to being productive now that the boys are finally napping...

summer has arrived

I thought this was a cute shot of Evan being his awnry self ( this is before story time)
Later in the day we played int he front yard. Tanner washer all of his "vehicles" and had them lined up on the driveway to dry. ( Like father like son!)
Tanner and Evan trying to beat the heat in the kiddie pool
Evan LOVED the water!
Another shot of Tanner washing the police car
Tanner's new shoes. First pair of flip flops... he is soooooo excited. Because, as he told everyone that would listen yesterday ( at the mall). " My mom has flip flops and my Dad as flip flops.. but Evan can't wear flip flops...he is too little"

We had a great day! Abbey came over and played with us. We did bubbles and had water gun fights, the kids played int he pool and wrote all over the place in sidewalk chalk. Summertime is good stuff!

now they are clean....

here they are fooling around in the tub...

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger!!!

That is what my loving husband told me last night as I cried about going up the steepest hill in Cheyenne on our bikes. I thought I would die... I huffed and I puffed...but all in all...I MADE IT!!! Yes that is a good feeling! And the nice thing was it was a good ride down hill on the way home. We did about another 3-4 mile run yesterday on the bikes. This one was a challenge...not the distance but definalty the level of difficulty. I tell ya I do feel a sense of pride today....as well as a HUGE sense of SORE muscles. I think we will take tonight off and maybe head down to Fort Collins to get out of town.

The weather here has been wonderful. Yesterday I took the boys to story time at the library and for Tanner to get some new books. They are both doing the summer reading program so they got thier bubbles yesterday for reading ( or in their case getting read to 5 times for 25 minutes) it is a fun thing for Tanner. Anyway, as you can see...life is riveting here! More pics soon... I got to get these rugrats in the bath tub right now!

Saturday night in the big city

Went to a Rockies game... the Rockies lost miserably... but the seats were great. We had a blast anyway!

Ate dinner on the deck at Lodo's. This is a pic of Tim at dinner. It was a beautiful night in Denver.

The boys at the game... we brought Evan's booster seat and it worked out great!

Me and Tanner on the deck at Lodo's...

Just Tanner...

This Evan with snacks all over him... he was a mess but he was happy so we went with it!!!

Saturday morning we got up and went on a bike ride on the greenway and to Starbucks for coffee and breakfast.

After church this morning we did a bike ride....to Applebees to lunch and then to Keelee and Lou's then home... all tolled round trip today about 6 miles... I think Tim maybe trying to kill me!! It was a lot of fun though..

:)

Well better run Tim and Tanner went to get us some ice cream ( c'mon I deserve it today) so they should be back any second.
