how sad somebody...

To use a Tanner quote.."how sad somebody" . It is sooo hard to say goodbye to our friends Sam, Brian and baby Nolan. This is the hardest part about the military. You have these friends that really are more of family... we share births, baptisms, anniversaries, holidays... and then in the blink of an eye they live 2000 miles away. I know that we will keep in touch.... it doesn't hurt that they will be living in Florida. :) We had a gathering last night to say goodbye... how I hate goodbyes.

Here is a picture of the happy family.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MELISSA!

Today is my good friend from High schools birthday. I have literally searched the house for a picture to post.

Sorry I can't find one... I almost posted an old highschool pic... but considering we were children of the 80's I thought that was mean :P

I hope that you have a great birthday Mel.. you deserve it!!!

In other news I am working on establishing a myspace... it has a way to go BUT you can find me at www.myspace.com/AWMB I need friends so feel free to be my friend.. :)

SHOCKING!!!

I know pure shock and awe... a post about the boys... with pictures!!! :) Okay Tanner and Evan built a fort today and Tanner really wanted me to take pictures. So of course I obliged.

BIG NEWS!!! I would say Evan is officially crawling... I have some video of it and I will take more. It is kind of a funny crawl.. bit on the knees...bit of Army crawl. It was funny cause Uncle Matt was over the other day and he said.. "I saw Evan crawling by pulling his hind legs" I laughed so hard... I said Matt he is not a dog those are his only legs... we had a good chuckle about the whole thing.

There is other news about some friends leaving...but I am avoiding that whole thing for now.. you are not being forgotten I am just having a healthy case of denial... and I need so copies of the pictures from our Sunday night out to post.

:) Okay off to be responsible.. yuck!

:P

Can you imagine????

This is the view out my kitchen window. I tried to put the thermometer in the picture so you could see the temperature. Can you even believe it is 25.8 at the time of the picture this morning. It is cold and everything is covered in ice and snow. Yuck Yuck and Yuck!! I just cannot imagine this weather. We cannot wait for our trip to warmer climits in May... :) We are soooooooooo anxious to enjoy the sunshine and warm weather. Anyway today is not a good day for the boys.. it is cold and yucky and neither of them feel well at all. Tanner has been sick with a chest cold and Evan I think is just teething with runny noses and bad diapers. Right now they are content playing together. I guess it is a good project day since we will not be going outside.

In other family news my niece called yesterday ( Nancy) and I am happy to report that they are expecting a baby boy at the end of Semptember this year. How exciting for them!!!

just came across...

these pics were somehow in my document folder. I am working on my resume ( Mamma needs out of the house and soon :) ) Anyway I noticed these were taken when Tanner was almost EXACTLY the same age Evan is now. What a cutie... it is hard to believe that my big guy was ever this little..

Okay sorry...temporay Mom nostalgic moment. both boys are sleeping at the same time!!! How exciting.. okay make to the resume.. they won't do this for long... :)

What a Cutie!!!

Doesn't Evan look cute in this outfit... ( given to Tanner by Sam and Brian) I just loved this outfit!!! :) I can't believe he can wear a 12 month outfit already!! He is growing so fast!

Trip to McDonald's

Well Sam and Nolan and the boys and I went to McDonald's on Tuesday. I needed new brakes on my car.... so we were there for a while!

Cute little Nolan.

Tanner conquering his fears...

Doing the happy dance!!

Okay I am behind...

I know I know... I haven't posted.. well look what Mr Evan is doing now.. here he is pulling himself up on the coffee table. He is trying to stand on everything!! ut oh! Still not really an efficient crawler but definalty gets where he wants to go. Oh and he started going thorough my cabinets... you can see him caught in the act in one picture above... I love that face he makes it all the time. As you can see Big brother was sure jealous that Evan was getting too much "cheese" time so he jumped in too...

Well we had a nice Easter we went to a Rockies game ( really a Phillies game) and we saw the Phillies win... 1 to nothing! :) That was good..then we walked around a bit and ate at an irish pub in Denver. It was a gorgeous day.. in the 80's! Of course I left my camera in the car so I have no proof of our great time.

The bunny came Easter morning and he had hidden the baskets... Tanner found them both ( there was a lettuce trail) and he even tried to pillage stuff out of Evan baskets..boy it is hard being the baby. Mostly they got toys... but there was room in Tanners for a few pieces of candy.

Well I have a small window while Evan is sleeping and Tanner is playing outside to do a workout..so I promise to update more later today. Sorry I have been behind on posting.

getting ready....

Evan watching all the dying excitement ( incognito)
The final set up waiting for the bunny with a carrot..
Tanner "hands on" dying... he has the colored hands to prove it!

Tanner shows off his finished products..
Tanner and Evan after they put the grass in thier baskets.

For you know who is on his way! We got ready tonight by dying eggs and getting our baskets set up for the big guy! We are even trying bribery with a carrot...I sure hope that it works!

Well just thought I would share a glimpse of the festivities. Happy Easter to all!!! Hope the bunny treats you all well.

Will he walk....

before he crawls? Here is a picture that Uncle Matt just snapped of us... seems like Evan might be practicing walking!

What a lucky girl...

I am soooo lucky and blessed to have the friends and family that I do. It was wonderful to be thought of by so many yesterday! I got tons of cards, emails and gifts!!! I am overwhelmed. My 2 day birthday celebration started yesterday with Sam showing up... with a vanilla latte in hand saying that her and Kim had gotten me a massage AND scheduled it AND were watching the boys!!! I literally cried tears of joy!! You guys are soooooo amazing to me!! In the evening the boys and I were treated to dinner by Billie and the kids... what a great time... Red Lobster... yum yum!! Billie also bought me an awesome set of ice cream bowls... I love them!! The blessing carried over to today where I recieved a present from Donna ( some much needed books) and lunch from Keelee...Chili's... yum yum!! I am not sure what I did to be thought of by so many but thank you to each and every one of you!! I am sooo blessed to be surrounded by such wonderful people in my life!

Here is a fun pic of Tanner dressed up in the ribbons from my gift last night!

Day at the park...

The other night Beth came over and hung out with us. We took the boys to the play ground and had a bunch of fun..here are some pics...

We had a blast!! Thanks Beth for playing with us... come over anytime you need a slide fix!

We had an awesome walk... and Tanner rode his bike the whole time! I am so proud of him... over 3 blocks...( 2 falls) but he did great! After dinner I am going to pull both boys in the wagon and take them to the playground... Did I mention how awesome this weather is????

:)

Beautiful day!

According to my thermometer it is in the 80's today... course that might be from the sun...but either way it is gorgeous!!! I have been spring cleaning and getting the house aired out!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE this weather!!!

Here are the boys in the wagon... giving Uncle Matt a workout yesterday...

Okay enough on here I am off to get ready to take a walk and get these boys out of the house...too nice to be in here!!

Toodles all!!

Todays adventures...

Well we went on base to the Easter egg hunt... look who we ran into...

yep that bunny... I told Tanner he better watch out that bunny is everywhere these days...

Here is Evan at the hunt... how excited he was eh? :)

Then after the hunt...Evan got his first haircut!! What do you think? Does he look like a boy now?? I am a little tired that people keep thinking that he is a girl....

Isn't he soooo cute now??

( Not that he wasn't cute before)

Look what I got!!

Aren't I sooo special? I tried to take a picture of the beautiful neckalace my in-laws sent me for my birthday...can you see it! It is kind of hard to take a pic of myself. It is soooo awesome I love it!! Thanks for thinking of little ole' me and making me feel so special.

I swear Evan is trying to crawl sooooo bad...but no luck just yet. Hard to believe that he was 9 months old yesterday.

I guess our nice weather is going bye-bye's...cold tomorrow with snow??? What??? Okay this is when I get annoyed with Wyoming weather... I mean it is always when it is spring time...

Anyway... I am exhausted... and sooooo ready for bed?? Think the boys will agree to go to sleep by 7:00pm?? :)

THANKS GRANDMA

Grandma bought this hat for Evan for his baptism and I noticed today that noggin was big enough to put it on...so I thought I would show how cute he looked in it...

What a ham!!! He smiled as soon as we saw the camera... I tell ya!!!

stories...

Okay I have a few stories to tell... but I know how you love pictures so I thought I better throw one in. Above is a pic of Evan and Daddy taken at Grandma and Grandpa's house in Nevada.

First a Tanner story. Well Tanner has been a BIG veggie fan especially asparagus ( since I told him it will make him big and strong and able to climb the rock wall if he keeps eating it). Well the other day he found an old pair of shoes that he wanted to wear and I explained to him that they didn't fit. He was upset saying, "Why do we have them then??" Pretty good question I must say... probably because I haven't gotten around to throwing them out and then again with Evan you know...we will just save them for him. Tanner came back with... "Look at Evan's feet they are WAY too small." Another good point. Then he said the best thing... "This is because I ate my asparagus and now my feet are bigger and I can't wear my favorite shoes anymore!! I don't want to eat my asparagus anymore!!!"

This Tanner story is from yesterday and this morning and I know yellow is hard to read but it is so appropriate for this story. Yesterday Tanner was riding his tractor in the yard and said that thier were bees following him. Anyway he came in the house and then he decided that the bees mom probably said, "bees it is time for dinner!" so it was safe to go back out. Then this morning when we were eating breakfast he said "Mom can I ride my tractor today or will the bees be there?" I said I didn't know about the bees.... and he decided. "Mom the bees are not there they are eating thier breakfast with thier mom and they are going to play in thier playroom today. They have a yellow playroom because that is the color thier dad painted it...because they are bees and thier favorite color is yellow. I tell ya the imagination on this kid.

In Evan news...he can now sit up on his own. I only saw him do it once... but I know when he is done napping he will just be sitting up in his crib... I think standing is not to far away. Speaking of Evan he is calling me.

More pics soon... we should get our finished pottery today and if it is not horrible I will post pictures...

:)
