1st day...kinda!!

nice smile..I can hear the "c'mon mom..can't you???"
The backpack!
Well this starting school thing has been and adventure...and we are still waiting for the "official" first day. But last week we traveled to school and Tanner turned in his school supplies, met his teacher and did his assessment test. The teacher said that he did great!! Here are a few shots on our way out the door. As you can see he went with a Transformers backpack ( I think mostly because it came with a matching wallet)

How did my baby get sooo big so fast..it is overwhelming!!

More soon!

Much love to all!

The rally

Tim and I by the bus
Tim--waiting in line
This will take 2 coffees
us...
we were really close but still hard to get good pics...
There he is...
Well it has been too long since I have been to a political rally. I was much more politically active in my college days. So, I thought it was important to get some tickets and see what John McCain had to say. We waited and we waited... but eventually we got to see John McCain speak and also announce his running mate Sarah Palin. I have to say we have been doing lots of research and I am super excited about his " out of the box choice" Well, my blog is not about politics it is just about our adventures and this was one. Tim and I laughed that we got a sitter for this... we must be getting old. If the wait wasn't so many hours and the boys were a bit older I would love to bring them to events like this in the future. We have the greatest country in the world and the decisions that we make not only effect us and our country but they effect the ENTIRE world. So, as long as people are voting we are doing our part. I am so excited how much my vote counts in this battleground state I now call home. I can assure all of my blog readers I will be doing my part... I have been reading and watching and trying to learn as much as I can about the 4 people who want to run our country. I cannot wait for the debates!!!! But in the mean time I will keep my politics on the blog to a minimum.
Thanks for popping in on us... and there will be more pics and adventures of the boys to come.!
Much love to all!

Another example...

Okay so here was yesterday's emsemble.... I think it is the crocs that make it all work... a cowboy hat and crocs... I need to throw these shoes away when he is not looking... :)

The hat was added after they decided to clean the basement. Yes the boys cleaned all of their toys in the basement up.. why? Well because Tim started a new star chart. You recieve stars for certain behavior and at the end of the week you earn .25 cents per star. It is only been 3 days but it seems to be working good so far. Tanner especially gets the whole idea and that extra stuff not expected earns you bonus stars!! ( like cleaning the toys in the basement)
In other EXCITING NEWS!!!!
Tim and I are headed to see John McCain speak on Friday. We are so excited as he is expected to announce his VP canidate here in Dayton Ohio!! We got some tickets and he will be right by our house. I think it will be a great experience. I will of course try to take some pics for the blog.
Okay kids are too quiet....got to run!!
Much love to all!

Cincinatti Reds

A few weeks ago we took the boys ( and Mike came too) down to a Reds game. It was the perfect night for a game! The Reds lost in overtime... but we did get to see the fireworks from the bridge. We are in Kentucky and walked accross. I thought it was a fun night... We are not Reds fans, nor Bengals... but we are excited the stadiums are so close and hope to take the boys to a few more games now that we are so close.

Kindergarten open house

It is true... we had an open house tonight for Tanner's school! My baby is going to KINDERGARTEN!! I just cannot beleive it!! We met his teacher and saw his school. He is soooo excited!!! Mom is overwhelmed.. and well quite frankly a bit weepy!

But I know this will be an amazing thing and I know how much school really changes your life. We are so excited for all the adventures that he is about to embark on.

I will try to update more soon. We have some big firsts about to happen.

Thanks for stopping by.

Thanks again for all of the cards, notes, emails, flowers, calls etc. I cannot tell you how my soul has been warmed by all of the love and support we have. We always knew that we were blessed with amazing family and friends but it is is the darkest times that this outpouring of love and support truly changes your life.

Thank you all

Thank you to all of your for your thoughts and prayers over the last few days. As many of you know by now I went into the Dr on tuesday for an ultrasound and found out our baby had passed away. I was released from the hospital on Friday afternoon and have been very blessed to have lots of friends and family here for support and love. I know that this is a healing process and all a part of God's plan. Without all of my friends and family I would not be where I am today. Thank you all again for everything.

We are anxiously awaiting any possible answers from our medical professionals in the next few months but we are also aware that we may not get any answers and it is rare that we ever find out why these things happen.

I am so very blessed to have my wonderful husband and these amazing boys during this difficult time as well. They make it so apparent how great God's love is for us.

I struggled with if I should post this on the blog but since I have already shared our joy and pictures of our little angel I thought it was both appropriate and important for those who read my blog to know as well.

Thank you all for stopping and for all of your love and support. Please continue to keep us in your prayers. Little Wyatt Thomas is in heaven with the Lord being rocked and cuddled by many family members including his namesake; my father and that is a heartwarming thought to me.

Much love,

Redneck weekend!

While we always have fun even I will say last weekend was a bit redneck! First of all we spent another friday night at the races...Evan in his total GLORY!!! Then on Sat morning we got up and went yard salin' ! Don't laugh it is a great way to learn an area and check a place out... and look at this train set Tim purchased for $1... can't beat that price!!

We are off to Cincinatti tonight to catch a Reds game. I will try to post some more pictures soon.

Can only get a cheese that big when there are cars involved!

Live bugs at the library

Well yesterday was an exciting day... we headed to the library to check out BUGS! There was an Entomology student from Ohio state that brought all of the fun bugs for us to see. Evan was home napping with Dad ( he was having a rough day) So, just Tanner and I went. Tanner LOVED it. In fact he was the last kid left asking all about the creepy crawlers. He touched everything you could touch and was really interested. He also did a great job of raising his hand and asking questions during the presentation. I am thinking he is ready for kindergarten ( only a few weeks left until the big day) Anyway it was a fun thing to do and I am glad that we did. We also got our weekly supply of books.

Petty the bugs

Let me see

more touching

Being shown to the group
scary stuff!
Stick bugs
touching a stick bug

hey lady you have a stick bug on your shoulder.
On a side note I ran into an old friend. Someone I knew in Cheyenne and I hadn't seen in 4 years!! I recognized that I knew her right away but couldn't place her at first. But then again since I do not really know anyone here it was easy to realize it must have been someone from Cheyenne. The funny thing is that she has 2 boys and is also pregnant and due in September.
Small world!
Thanks for checkin in on us today!
Much love to all!
