Tanner's first "official" playground injury!

Well we gathered up the kiddos and took a long walk around the neighborhood. It was beautiful day in Cheyenne and Tanner rode his tractor. We made a stop at one of Tanner's favorite hotspots...playground.

A pic of dad and Evan in his new ride.

Okay so Tanner fell off the high bars trying to get up to the big slide. I was trying not to hover ( which is hard for me) . And at the very top he fell all the way to the ground busting his chin. It is not as bad as it looks in this picture below.... as I shed more tears them him and he was up at the top of the playground before I was even up off the ground.

Daddy fixing him up...
All better!...

So he will officially live but as he drove his tractor home he stopped me and said " Mama do you know that your kid is bleeding?" Such a flare for the drama.

Well yesterday was Hudson's 1st birthday... and he had a big party... what a blast... pics to follow.

Tanner might be a blog addict!

MANGOS!!! Okay we had to pick up some stuff at good old Walmart. And thier produce puts the commisary to shame.. so we got some Mangos. Tanner was so excited and he loved the Mango. But Tim and I had to laugh when he says..."Mom cheese me eating the Mango for the computer" I tell ya the kid is on to me.

Long weekend fun!

What a great weekend! Tim and I went to a charity auction at the club on base. It was a nice time and I even purchased a scrapbooking basket. It was well recieved and lots of money was raised for a good cause. Tim thought because it was a "spouses auction" he would be able to auction me off...but too bad for him.

After that on Saturday morning we headed down to Denver for the weekend. We went with Billie and Bruce and Tim and Tara. It was a great time. We spent the night at the hotel Monaco. We did some shopping on Sunday and headed home late Sunday night. It was great to get out of town... and the company was awesome.

Today we hung home all day ( I just kept thinking that it was Sunday) and caught up on laundry and housecleaning.

I also officially gave my notice to the temp agency. I told them my last day is friday. I am hopeful that I will only not have a job for the month of March and something will come through by April. I am sure that God has a plan.

A quick Tanner tale....

Well here is a quick funny that I thought that I would share. I am working a temporary position and I am in the building right next to Tanner's school...so we go together in the morning. I have been driving the Mazda or as Tanner calls it "Daddy's race car" . I think it is because we both have such big vehicles he feels like we are going fast in the mazda...that and it is a stick shift.

Okay so yesterday in the snow I decide we should drive the Yukon and not the Mazda. Tanner was sad. Tanner said "Mama can't we take daddy's race car?" I said no hunny in the snow it is safer to take the big car and we can't drive a little car like that. So when we get to school and I get him out of the car and he says" Ooooooo look Mom...they took the little car they didn't take thier big car....they are in trouble" I had to laugh. And explain to him of course that not everyone has big cars... nor are blessed to have the choice of 3 cars.

Anyway I thought it was a funny... and that I would share...

:0)

over the wood and through the snow to grandmothers house we go?????

Okay maybe not? As of this morning I am at work. No snow day and no trip to see Tim's parents. I guess we thought it would be worse. I mean we got about 9.7 inches...but this is Wyoming... nothing even opened late or was cancelled. We may still get a wild hair and head out of town somewhere for the weekend...since we have the time off... who knows? Tim spoke with his dad this morning and it seems that they got some there as well. Well, if there is a bright side...that would be I can now drag Tim to the semi-formal basket auction tomorrow. I mean I did already buy a new outfit ( thinking that it was a different day) and I have already RSVP'd so I guess we can just attend now. That would be fun...a semi formal night out with babysitting right there for the boys.

I still have some pics to download from the camera and catch up.

But so far that is the latest and greatest from Cheyenne.... more later...better get to work.

Good Ole NJ

Well this is what it looks like at home... These are pics of my brother and sister-in-laws house!! Well you wanted snow right? :) Looks like fun actually! We are expecting some on Thursday but I am sure that it will be nothing like this storm!

Lets see...the weekend! It was an eventful one. Friday night was our night out. We got a sitter and headed to spend some much needed time with friends without the kiddos. We went to this whole in the wall bar called "the bunkhouse" it was a lot of fun. Tim was celebrating doing well on something at work and Bruce was celebrating his last alert and Felker was celebrating his time at FE Warren being over...a good time was had by all! We are sad to say that in the next few months a lot of our friends will be leaving.

Well we layed low Sat and Sunday because Evan is SICK! We thought by Sunday after church he was feeling better and we took him to the Sam and Brians to celebrate Nolans baptism ( pics later) . I am sure hoping he didn't spread it. I thought it was afever from his shots on friday but now he has a cough and a sore throat and he is full fleged sick! Tim was home with him yesterday and I am home with him today. Poor little guy!

Well I better get Tanner to his Valentines Day party at school.

More later. With some more pics.

Happy Valentines Day to all!

Thanks daddy I love it!!

Well the other day I sent Tim to the store to pick up some odds and ends. He came home and made a big stink about what he got... He stood in the doorway and said" Here are treats for Mama..." then " Here is a treat for Evan..." Then he realized that he did not buy a treat for Tanner Lee. So he saved himself by saying...Tanner this Atlas is a treat for you. Tanner was so excitied!!!! He grabbed it and said..." I love it Daddy...it is my favorite present ever!!" Well, he went as far as to sleep with his atlas at night and beg to take it to school to show his friends. Well, Tim was surely in a mess... he hadn't planned on giving it to him and what would he do now. It was just so funny how much Tanner loves his Atlas. Well, I suggested a new video game and that is what he did. Tanner now the proud owner of a Dora the Explorer computer game ( learning game to boot) is pretty much over the Atlas completely. Just thought I would share.

Okay well we are off to address our Valentines for school...

More soon...

Still can't figure out this dang Picasa...but it sure cuts the download time... Posted by Picasa

A new career on the horizon???

Well could it be? Could I get to do what I always wanted to do? Only time will tell. I took a temporary position at DFS for a number of reasons. #1) to get out of the house...get dressed, showered etc. #2) To offset the cost of daycare that I am still paying for fear of loosing the kids spots. #3) It was at DFS ( Division of Family Services) just the kind of thing I had in mind while in college ( oh so long ago)and shortly after. I always wanted to do real work, important work. Some of you who have known me forever know that I worked for a few programs in NJ that were just this type of fulfilling, life changing work I am discussing. But somehow I ended up in banking ( mostly the need for $ way back when...then it moved on to where my experience was). Well I am going to try a whole new avenue of my career since my life has changed so dramatically since having the boys and meeting Tim. Who knows what will become of it all but I have officially submitted my application and I am taking the plunge to moving my career in a whole new direction. If everyone could keep me in thier thoughts and prayers I would appreciate it. I am sure that God has a plan.... and everything will fall into place. It is hard to not be excited about the idea and possibility that I may be able to work in social services. I alwasy thought I would need an MSW....turns out my BA is just what they are looking for right now.

Okay well that is my only news for now!
