My boys...my the tractor...Tanners big Santa gift!

tag your it!

Okay I stole this one from someone's blog thought it might be fun....

"Here are the rules; the first player of this game starts with the topic. Five weird habits of yourself and people who get tagged need to write an entry about their five weird habits as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose the next five people to be tagged and link to their web journals. Don’t forget to leave a comment in their blog or journal that says “You are tagged” (assuming they take comments) and tell them to read yours. So here we go......."

Weird habits...lets see.. I mean I am not weird right? Well okay maybe a bit.

1) Whenever I eat a Reeses Peanut Butter Cup I have to nibble the edges to try and seperate the chocolate without distrubing the peanut butter. I then peal the chocolate all off. So, I am trying to get just a piece of peanut butter...hardly ever works however.

2) If I tie one shoe I have to tie the other one... I can't have one freshly tied and one not.

3)Wish time... it is not a weird habit it is a tradition really. If the clock is all the same number I can make that many wishes ( ie 2:22= 2 wishes)

4) If I have mayo on a sandwich it has to be on the bread and cannot be on the meat, that goes for lunch meat and cheese or burgers, It just had to be on the bread or I would have to scrap it off....eventhough the meat and bread touch.

( okay now I feel like a freak of nature is that the point of this game)

5) Lastly, thankfully, hummm....lets see... I sleep best with the TV on...is that weird? My husband surely thinks that it is..

Okay now who to challenge...

Let's see how weird my friends really are

  • Meghan
  • you are first because you need to update your blog...so here is something to write about!

  • Sally
  • Okay Sally...there has to be something weird about you!

  • Beth
  • any weird habits?

  • Keelee
  • and
  • Kara
  • sisters..same weird habits or not.

Well I hope everyone tries this I will be checking your blogs...

    And Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    :)

    Santa came!

Well, Greetings!! I hope that everyone enjoyed a wonderful holiday with friends and family! I am sad that my family is so far away this time of year but we are truly blessed to have our air force family. It was a busy couple of days but spent with our wonderful friends, filled with food and presents...now that is never a bad thing!

I cut my hair...all off! That is right this busy mom needed an 20 extra minutes...this was the best way I could think of to get it! It is an adjustment still but I don't hate it..so that is a start!

me with short hair... with Tanner Lee..."cheesing" of course...

Tanner and Evan had a great night Christmas eve... after mass we had our friends over ( Billie, Bruce, Abbey, Brett, Tara, Tim, Jamie and Felker) and did a gift exchange... ate drank and were merry. After they left it was off to bed for the boys ( in thier matching Pj's of course) . Yes I know they will hate me for this when they get older.

The gift exchange is full craziness L-R (Tara, Abbey,Tim, Felker,Bruce,TimP, Billie Jean,Tanner)

Santa came sometime in the night...but Tanner was pooped so it took me, Tim and Evan AND A video camera to persuade his butt out of bed. We got his reaction and I think he was pretty impressed with Christmas and all of the gifts. He was even excited about new socks and underwear which I hadn't expected at all.... Evan on the other hand got so many toys he just layed there and looked around in amazement. the playroom is full to maximum capacity! I am not sure what but something will have to give and soon... that organization project is for another day!

On Christmas day itself after all the hub bub here we headed to the Hlivkos ( Matt and Kim and Avery) for dinner. Yum yum! We got to visit with Cindy, Julie, Bryan, Hudson, Beth, Sam, Samantha and Brian and Nolan too.... and also Randy; Kim's dad visiting from Ohio. It was a blast and I tell ya Matt can make a MEAN Ham. I don't even like ham and you could barely keep me back from a third helping of the stuff...yum yum! All of the food was very yummy! I so enjoyed the time spent with everyone. Pictures are still on the camera from this event...so later on that!

Well, I will include some pics and call it a night. The boys are all nestled in thier beds and I think Mom is way overdue some reading time..

    More tomorrow....

    :)

Okay I am having picture issues...so more pics later...sorry!

Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas

Got a little snow... here is a picture of our house from the street today.... good bit of snow! Always welcome this time of year.

Here is a pic of the newest babies dressed in thier Christmas outfits. This pic was taken at Tim's office party on Saturday night ( Evan 5 months, Avery 3 months, Nolan 1 month) Evan didn't have a hat so I let him borrow my hat. Notice Evan and Avery are holding hands... too cute!

We had a great busy weekend. I took friday off of work and did a shopping marathon in Denver with Billie. On Saturday we had a birthday party for Tanner's friend William and his work party that night. On Sunday I cleaned the house...MUCH needed while Tim went to church. Then we went to an open house at the VanVoast's and some last minute shopping. I think we are DONE! But knowing us we will keep shopping..

Gotta run Evan is calling me... and he doesn't sound thrilled... :)

    More later..or tomorrow..

    Busy weekend!

It was a busy weekend....but a fun one! Seems the few weekends before Christmas are always so jammed packed. On Saturday Tim went shopping with Bruce and I watched Elias. Elias is 5 and he is Alison's (friend from work) son. Tanner and he played well together and we even baked some homemade banana bread for our snack together. Then Tim came home and it was off to the cookie exchange. "Beth's 2nd annual cookie exchange" to be exact. It was a blast and so fun. Beth is such a good hostess ( really I am pretty jealous of her hosting skills) . Evan and I even won a prize for festive dress. I dressed Evan in Tanner's first Christmas outfit and it was a little snug but brought us home the prize. Here are some pics of us stolen from Beth's blog.

The one is of me holding Jack and Evan. Jack is Kari and Tony Stewarts boy who was born ( June 30th) so they are really close in age.

After the exchange Evan and I met Tim and Tanner at the fights on base. Every year the boxing team puts on a full scale match it was a lot of fun. After the fights we went back to the Ludwicks and got to hang out with the Purcells and the Ludwicks for a bit.

On Sunday morning we headed to church and immediatly following Tanner and I had to rush to Alicia's birthday party. Alicia is his friend form school. It was at the pizza hut on Yellowstone. When we got home Christmas had EXPLODED at our house! Daddy put lights all over the place and Tanner was so excited!! Tanner has been asking "for Christmas at our house" since he saw the first light on a house. We had our tree and everything inside but he wanted outside ligths.

Well after the party Tanner took a nap and Evan and I packed up to attend a Gift Exchange at Julie's house. It was another blast with all the girls and I got the most wonderful gift from Cindy. I was amazed by my gift basket with tea, a mug and 2 books. I already started reading the one she got ...the Nanny diaries and I am enjoying it so far. I will post some pics later of this. We got one of all the babies of 2005. We also all wore Christmas socks and we got a pic of that I am looking forward to seeing. It was wonderful to see everyone and it was really quite a "girls weekend" I loved it!

Last night Tim and I and the boys went to church for "feast of Saint Guadalupe" it was nice to attend. Then we all went to CB Potts for some dinner.

Seems there are too many things to get ready for the holidays...but we are trying to squeeze it all in!

I will post some more pics of the weekend as soon as I find some time to dowload them.

    more christmas...

    Some Christmas decorations pics.

The little tree in the kitchen.

The big tree and you can see the village as well.

The mantle ( the stockings all hung by the chimney with care) Well, Evan's stocking is still in getting his name embroidered.

It seems everything looks better lit up then in these pics... but you get the idea.

Well Evan had a girl over.... okay really i had Kim and Avery over...but we took these pics of Evan and Avery and I just had to share.

For family who doesn't know; Avery Grace was born 9/14. So her and Evan are pretty close to 2 months apart... aren't they just sooooooooooo cute!!!

It is Christmas at the Halls

    Here are some pics...

Christmas has officially arrived....Tanner putting the star on the tree ( with no shirt) hee hee

We even baked some no hassle cookies...

    Evan in his Santa hat
We had a blast decorating.... i noticed these pics really don't show any of the house actually decorated....so I will have to add that later...

Tea in the trees at the depot

On Sunday I had the pleasure of going to the tea in the trees at the depot with the girls. I am thankful to Julie for planning it and to Tim for getting home from hunting for me to go and enjoy it. I stole this pictures from Beths blog. Soon someone is going to show me how to post blog links on my blog... I am expecting a lesson from Keelee soon....Keelee????

Okay well this one is a pic by one of the decorated trees. These trees are donated and auctioned off...

( L-R Cindy, Lindsey, Beth, Julie, Kari and me)

This next tree was made out of tumbleweeds....which are everywhere out here so we thought it was funny and worth a pic.

Last night we headed to do some shopping right after work and for Tanner to get a much needed haircut. Well, right after his haircut he looked very lethargic...he ended up sleeping in the grocery cart at the store while we shopped. I am not sure what was going on with him. When I got home he had a 101.5 fever. I drugged him with some motrin and in an hour he was runnning around like crazy boy again. So, is he sick? I am not sure. We were all looking forward to going to see Nolan and Sam and Brian's families last night but we didn't want to take any chances with Tanner's fever. I really hope that I get to see them before they leave.

Well, that is all the news that is fit to print here.

    Thursday, December 01, 2005

look what we got last night!!!

Yep last night we brought home this Frasier Fur....it is the smallest tree we have ever gotten. But ya know the tree always overtakes the house...I am hoping this year that will not be the case.

Okay gotta run to work...more later...

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO TIM!

Gotta love this picture .... I am sure Tim would be thrilled I put in on the web....but all in birthday fun! :P

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my hunny! Thankfully this is the 1/2 of year that we are the same age...I have an older woman complex. :) We tried to serenade him this morning but Tanner wanted to wait for his party to sing. I tried to explain to him that Tim wasn't having a party... It was too cute!!

The money pit....that is the new name for my house!!! Well the new carpet was put in friday and we just love it and we are really happy with the way it is all coming together. THEN the drain in the basement backs up and there is food and sludge all over my laundry room floor. UG!! So, the plumber was able to come yesterday morning and get that fixed. Then at 3:00 am.... Tanner comes in and says. "Mom there are noises in my bedroom coming from the laundry room" I tell him to snuggle a minute and be quiet or he will wake up Tim. Well, then I see Tim coming down the steps with the drill. Turns out the heater had broken...and that is what Tanner heard. It is not the end of the world since we already knew that the heater was about done....so we have a new one being installed Saturday Dec 3rd. Looks like we will need to call and get that moved up to now! The good news is....pretty soon we will have a whole new house!!!! Tim and I actually laid in bed at 3am..trying to think what could go wrong next.....dare we challenge the house....ut oh I am afraid!

Well our turkey day was awesome and I will have to post some pics. Tim took the camera hunting over the weekend...so I was without it for posting. We went to the Purcells and had much good food and good times with friends. We also played a game which was a blast...called shout about movies!

Saturday I took Tanner to the movies...with his friend Jack and his mom to see Chicken Little...cute but Tanner and Jack had a very hard time sitting still.

Yesterday I went to the tea in the trees with Lindsey, Cindy,Beth, Julie, and Kari...it was great chatting with them all... I was so glad I went.

    Okay...more later!!

    :)

    With pictures!!

    Tanners playdate

This is Tanner and his friend Jack. Jack's mom picked them up at school yesterday at 11:00 am and took them to McDonalds and back to Jacks house to play. When we went and picked Tanner up we ended up eating some pizza with the Hendersons. It was a fun time. Thanks to Cindy ( Jack's mom ) for being soooo brave to take both boys for the day.

Okay thanksgiving pics to be posted tomorrow.

But I hope everyone is having a great turkey day.

    GIVING THANKS

    HAPPY THANKSGIVING ALL!

I guess this is a good time for me to give thanks for all of the blessings in my life.

The first and foremost is my wonderful husband. I truly feel that he is heaven sent. He is a gift from my parents from above. I could not be luckier then to have him in my life...truly my soulmate. Of course my two wonderful boys. They show me everyday the amazement and joy of this world just by seeing things through thier eyes. I can never take, stars in the sky, airplanes, flowers...anything for granted with them in my world.

Next of course is my wonderful family and friends. Really we have 2 families. Our blood family and our airforce family. We are so lucky that we can have this extended family that makes where ever we are feel just like home.

Not only are we blessed with family and friends we are also lucky enough to have everything that we need to be happy, healthy, successful and emotionally fulfilled in life. Truly blessed in more ways then I could ever list on a simple blog.

Tomorrow we will be spending the holiday with a group of great friends...and we are so lucky that we had other friends that we were invited to as well. I am just so touched by the love and acceptance of all of our friends. Blessed is the only word that can be used.

Happy Thanksgiving to all and best wishes for a Happy healthy holiday that is spent surrounded by those you love.

    Underwear and Roses!

I know ....crazy title eh? Well first Roses...

Yesterday I got a dozen long stem red roses delivered to work "from my loving husband". How wonderful is he??? I was shocked, amazed and overjoyed all at the same time. Sometimes he reads my blog... Love ya hunny! You are the best! I am very blessed to have you.

    On the Underwear front...

Tanner is wearing underwear to school today! He woke up....went poop on the potty.. and wanted to wear underwear. So, I put him in his Nemo underwear! I just called school to check on him and he is doing great so far..no accidents. Could it be???? Well, time will tell but I am pretty hopeful.

I am soooo glad it is Friday. Sunday we are headed to Denver. Bruce and Tim are going to the Broncos game ( Tim's birthday present) and Billie and I are going Christmas shopping. I am sooo excited for the holidays this year. I just know that Tanner is going to have such a blast.

Okay well back to the grind...

    I loved this book

A million little pieces by James Frey. I just loved it! It was raw and disturbing but still very good and addictive. I finished it at just after 4am last night..... thank goodness! The boys are sleeping through the night but Mom couldn't stop reading this book.

Thanks to Julie for letting me borrow it..... I think it is on its way to Beth next!

    :)

So, what book should I read next?????????????????????

    The boys

Here are some pics of the boys from the weekend....

Tanner was so funny...the night he destroyed his dinner like that...I said Tanner why do you have mashed potatoes everywhere...he said "Cause I am frustrated" Hard to not laugh at that logic....hummm I wonder where he would get that from?

Well we went and ordered the carpet for our upstairs and I splurged and bought an area rug for the dining room...I have wanted one forever... so I am excited about that. I will try to post some pics of the house here soon.... still a work in progress...but we hope to get the carpet on Saturday if all goes well.

    :) Tammi

    WHAT A WEEKEND!

Well we have been busy little bees at our house. Friday I had to go out of town to Douglass for a training for work. When I got in the playroom was already well underway. As of Saturday night the playroom was completed....painted "Kiss of Kiwi" still awaiting curtains and stuff hanging on the walls. I am looking for a cable or something to hang the kids artwork from to string across one wall. On Sunday after church and a trip to Lowes we started on the living room. This time the color was something chocolate....but really had a pinkish hue to it and we were scared... I think it dried a bit on the khaki side. Now keep in mind when I say "we" I really mean Tim .....he worked so very hard this weekend. I mostly entertained and took care of the boys. Tanner and I set up the playroom all day Sunday with toys...and he is just so anxious to have his friends come play. We also made some homemade bread which he just thought was sooooo very fun and baked a cake. So, that was that. We did get to have dinner with the McMenamys and the Hlivkos on Saturday night... and we enjoyed thier company. We are all anxiously awaiting Sam and Brian's new baby boy which the Doctors are planning to try to persuade to come tomorrow morning. How exciting!

Well, I did take some pics of the boys this weekend... nothing of the house.. WAIT I almost forgot...we redid the hallway too... see the biggest thing is that the popcorn ceiling is no longer and the hall looks great...just painted white. We still need to do the office...and we are going to go order the new carpet today.... yippee!!!!!!!

So I will post pics of the house when all is said and done...

    :)

    Happy Monday!

    Where has the week gone?

Wow!! Humpday already! Time flies when you are raising kiddos. So far so good. Monday night I went and met with Father Gary. I am trying to start a womens bible study but I don't think there is too much interest. So, if nothing else I may just get to have one on one meetings with Father. To be honest I feel like I need the spirtual guidance and the postive energy these days. So, I have to do that for me. Last night I went to a spouses meeting.. and there was lots of dessert so of course that was a blast. I was glad to have the opportunity to hang and chat with my friend Julie a bit...seems that I always see her in groups so it was nice to visit one on one.

Tim and Tanner ran to Fort Collins and picked up our new furniture and when I got home and walked in Tanner said....Mom I know what you are going to say "what happened to this house". So, I laughed and I did say just that. I like the furniture but the coffee table is too big for the space. We are thinking we like it and we won't be in this home forever so it is all good. Tanner is just SO very excited for his playroom. I am hoping we can get it all done this weekend....but we will see. He just wants his playroom right now... it is all a work in progress... isn't it always?

See...that is why I haven't posted nothing exciting at all going on here.

    FUNNY TANNER STORIES....

Okay 3 years old seems to be the age for the funnies of things.. I will color code because one was mentioned on Sam's blog.

Friday night funny: also on <"www.samandbrian.blogspot.com">Sam's blog. Sam, Kim and Avery came over to hang out and chat friday night. Of course as usual when friends come over Tanner thinks that they are there to play with him. So, Sam sat down and started playing a puzzle with Tanner. This is a puzzle of his name that Ms. Keelee gave him. Tanner was handing Sam letters and when it came to the everything but the "T" being there...Sam said hand me the "T". Tanner walked into the kitchen opened the fridge and grabbed the pitcher of iced "Tea" and brought it to Sam. It was too funny.

Sunday Morning funny... this is a bit more bathroom humor... Tanner wakes up and decides to try to pee... well he is trying and he can't go..so he looks at me and say" It's won't work..it needs batteries!!" I laughed sooooooooooooo hard!

Monday morning funny: This morning I told Tanner to get his bib off of the coffee table. He can't find it.. I tell him that table in front of the couch is the coffee table.. he says," no its not the coffee table Mom that is a chocolate milk and juice table.

Weekend fun: Well friday night I hung out with Kim and Sam and as you can imagine with Evan and Avery being a little over 2 months apart in age and Sam due here REAL soon we mostly talked about babies... :) Of course a little bit about husbands... when doesn't that happen right?

Saturday Tim came back from alert about 1:45 or so and we had lunch, napped, went to church and went to the Hendricks to hang out. We thought we would have stayed later...but we were so tired we about both about feel asleep on thier couch. It was nice to see them and let the boys play. Linda and Shawn's son Garrett is 6 and thier son Hunter is about 2 months younger then Tanner and Rylee is 1 month younger then Evan. It was fun to see the babies together. We ate pizza and chatted. It was a nice time.

Sunday was shopping spree day... We went and bought some much needed end tables, coffee table and a new TV stand. We are hoping to do a lot to the house in the next few weeks. We are looking to paint the living room, strip the popcorn cieling, and rearrange the living room... and also set up a play room for the boys. And also get the new carpet in. I am hoping this will be done BEFORE Christmas. We also went to TOYS R US.... we had to make a list for Santa... ( and he may have secretly got a few things) Thankfully Tanner is still young enough that we can trick him. After that we stopped at Jim's wings and headed to the Ludwicks to watch the game ( we won't talk about the game)

Okay well that is the weekend fun... I still need to watch Desperate Housewives.. i hope my TV recorded it this week.

Today was Evan's first day at the CDC and his 4 month visit and shots. He was a bit over 14 lbs and 24 inches long. He did great with his shots. He is such an amazingly happy baby.. we are just so blessed. He also is sleeping great! Friday night he slept from about 8 pm until 7 am... and the whole weekend he didn't wake up in the night.

Okay I know everyone stopped reading about 4 paragraphs ago...

    :)

    Happy Monday!

    christmas pics...

Christmas pics of the boys from sunday. How cute are thier matching sweaters. That is what I love about Gymboree... you can get big boy and little boy matching!!

Yet another proud mommy moment... I have a lot of those don't I?

This Christmas is going to be soooooooooooo fun!Watch out Santa cause Tanner has a running list and it is getting very long. He even has went through the Fisher Price books and picked out things for his baby brother to get from Santa. He said to me ... " Mom, can I tell Santa to bring this to Evan for Christmas, cause he can't talk yet ya know?" I thought that was a sign of being a pretty good big brother... he also may just figure..the more toys in the house the better :) . Tim and I are still working on the toy room. We are hoping to get the upstairs recarpeted here real soon and then turn that room into a play room. Right now Tanner calls that room " Aunt Donna's room" It is kinda funny because it doesn't matter who sleeps in there since... and Donna has only been there once.... it is always Aunt Donna's room. Even after Grandma and Grandpa came this weekend today when he had to check out his red hair... he had to go into "Aunt Donna's" room and see. Yeah I said red hair... this morning we spiked it and colored it with the bright red gel... he just loves doing that.

Okay well I am hoping to meet my hubby for lunch very soon.

    I will post more later.

    from the mouths of babes....

Okay I told this story and Lori ( my awesome sister-in-law) told me that I had to put it on my blog. It is a little on the "vulgar" side...but all moms of boys need to be able to appreciate a little of that. So, we took Tanner to the peditrician for his 3 year check up and she gave us this hand out about potty training. In the handout it says to explain to him that "poop and pee WANT to go in the potty and it is his job to help them" . Tim explained it first and I about died laughing but I held it all back. Anyway I mentioned it to him yesterday that they WANT to go in the potty and he looks at me all serious and says, "What about farts mom..do they want to go in the potty too?"

One more Tanner is too funny story.. we were in church a few weeks back and he got the hiccups... and he looked at me and said "Mom, my mouth is bumpin' " It was too cute! I need to be sure to write some of these stories down.

Kudos to my wonderful husband... this morning he let me sleep in and he took both boys to school so that I could relax and get ready.... what a guy!!!!!

This past Sunday we went to Fort Collins got new outfits for all of us and then got out family pictures taken... I am not so thrilled with them but we realized getting both kids to smile is about impossible!

We were sad to have to go to the funeral for Tim's grandmother but it was nice to see the extended family we do not get to see often. We also had Tim's mom and Dad for the weekend so that was a nice suprise as well.

Today was girls lunch and we even got to see Lindsey ( what a nice suprise) ! It was for Julie's Birthday ( Happy Belated girl!) We went to the Egg & I and it was really nice to see everyone and chat....I only wish we could do dinner or weekend lunches so we would have more time to visit.

OK back to the grind.. I am sorry I have been slacking on my blog these days!

    Halloween pics

I thought I would share some pics of the boys ( and Tanner at his party at school!) Notice the "disney channel" pumpkin... has this become a true obsession now?

Hope everyone had a great holiday!
