Project time

For those of you that know my wonderful husband you know he can't stay happy long without a project. So we packed up the kids and headed to good ole' Lowes. Project De Jour: Shelves in the garage so that we can park both vehicles in our 2 car garage.....what a crazy concept!



Okay so I waited for him to be all done and took a picture. 2 trips to Lowe's ...why is it that every project requires more then one trip to the home improvement store???

Everything has a place and everything in it's place...pretty much the motto that Tim lives by.

On a side note.... please feel free to notice how Evan is dressed. This is camaflouge shorts, orange shirt and black and gray crocs. Okay for those of you that know me you know that I usually tried to keep my boys dressed fairly nicely. Well I have lost the battle with Mr. Evan Harrison. He ABSOLUTELY marches to the beat of his own drum. He will not have it for a second. While Tanner would not think about getting dressed without my approval to this day. But Evan, not so much. Evan comes in at 5:30 am EVERY morning and cuddles with Tim and by about 6:30 ( when Tim gets in the shower) Evan heads in to get dressed. He will wear what he wants to wear...he must. He has his favorites and some are REALLY scary. We fought it for a long time and we realized we cannot win. On this day he came in and I said... "Evan that really doesn't match" he replied, " Mom the shorts are camaflouge they match anything I want!" :)

I mean like I told Tim how can you argue with that logic...really!

Congratulations!!!

Well as my hubby has embarked on this Master's degree he also officially finished up his first Master's degree. I wanted to say a quick Congratulations!!! I am very proud of my hubby for all of his hard work!

Way to go Love!

I will keep you posted if he decides to walk. His official graduation is this summer so we are not even sure if he chooses to walk when that will be.

Date night!

Okay so I tried to snap a pic of us on the big comfy couch at Brio and I almost cut myself out...so I told Tim we needed to do another one...
This is the face I got from him... so I told him no more chances this was ON THE BLOG

Tim and I went out on a date night on Sunday night...it was FABULOUS!!! We had a sitter for the kiddos for the first time in months!!!! I mean at least since we lived in Ohio.... so it was MUCH needed.

First we went to Brio Tuscan Grille for dinner... and it was soooo yummy!! It was delicious! Then we went to the funny bone to see Jon Reep. the show was Awesome!! We laughed very hard... if he is coming to a town near you... and I think he will be in Cheyenne Wyoming this weekend... I would seriously consider tickets! We even strolled the outdoor mall after the show and got some Cold Stone Creamery for dessert. It was wonderful to just spend some one on one time with hubby!

I will give you a hint...

So we tried Logan's steakhouse for dinner on Saturday night and then we decided to take the kiddos bowling. But rather then telling them what we were doing we did lots of SUPER obvious hints... they never got it! When they walked into the bowling alley they were SOOO excited. It is sad that my kids know about bowling more from a video game then thier time at the actual alley.

We had a total blast.. and we will be doing it again VERY soon!

Weekend FUN!

We had a blast at the Dayton Air show. I had never been to an air show before. We had awesome seats by an Air Conditioned tent with drinks and all. We needed the drinks and the AC because it had to be almost 100 degrees and with high humidity it was a scorcher. But we had a great time!

We really enjoyed the show on the ground and in the air. These shows must really work because both of my boys want to be "fighter pilots" now.. and they want to fly the F22 Raptor. Tim and I tried to tell them that will be old school by the time they are old enough to fly a plane.

Anyway, it was a fantastic time. Sunday was pretty low key.. it was soo hot we mostly hung out at the house and I made a big Sunday feast!

Results so far....

I don't know how this quiz works and if everyone can see the results...but so far the totally non-scientific poll says we have a 75% chance of girl tomorrow and a 25% chance of boy... get your votes in now the Ultrasound is first thing in the morning!


It has been SOOOOOOOOOOOOO hot here! We had a fun weekend and went to the Dayton Air show... I will try to post those pictures soon. For today we have to get ready to go to the water park to try and beat the heat!
