This picture was originally taken as a joke and now it is the truth. I took this pic because Tanner kept breaking his glasses and we joked we would buy him goggles.. so when we were at the store getting them repaired I snapped this photo as a joke. Turns out it is no longer a joke. We actually ordered him some goggles today. Not because of his broken glasses and not near this big....but goggles for sports and swimming.
Today was the follow up with the Eye Dr. and Tanner is making some GREAT progress! The patching is working!!! He has worked so hard at it..so that is WONDERFUL news! He has doubled his vision in his left eye from 2 months ago! We still have lots of work to do but this was sooo great to hear.. we were worried we might not get any progress at all! One of the things the Dr. said is that Tanner can NEVER be without glasses, swimming, playing sports, everything he does (except sleeping) he needs to have his glasses on to prevent his eye from shutting down again. So.. we ordered the goggles...
We are so excited and feel so blessed to have recieved this great news!
